Who are Rotary?
Rotary is a global network of 1.4 million neighbours, friends, leaders, and problem-solvers who see a world where people unite and take action to create lasting change – across the globe, in our communities, and in ourselves.
Rotary members believe that we have a shared responsibility to take action on our world’s most persistent issues. Our 46,000+ clubs work together to:
- Promote peace
- Fight disease
- Provide clean water, sanitation, and hygiene
- Save mothers and children
- Support education
- Grow local economies
- Protect the environment
How do I get involved?
We’re looking for people who want to give back to their communities.
Being part of Rotary is more than just giving back to the community by volunteering. It is also about you bringing your skills, experience and enthusiasm to help it thrive, whilst making some great friends along the way.
Our club is a friendly place; we invite speakers from a wide range of backgrounds to share their knowledge, increasing your social and cultural understanding. Members also share a common interest in friendship and if you visit any of our clubs around Great Britain and Ireland you will immediately feel the sense of camaraderie and fun.
If Rotary sounds like the organisation for you and you feel like volunteering some of your spare time, we’d like to hear from you! Simply contact us by emailing billericaytownrotary@gmail.com, or complete the enquiry form on our “Contact Us” page, and we will contact you with further details of our club.
